Kesa
A primary memory of arranging eight crayons to resemble the rainbow with no prior knowledge of the spectrum began a colorful career.
In 1978, with a B.S. Degree in Art Education,
Karen Abbruscato (Kesa) began to make a living as a Visual Artist and Educator.
Employment began with graphic services provided for agencies, corporations, newspapers, printers and publishers. During this time, she developed skills and acquired tools. Two thousand and one brought a position where her days were spent teaching high school students, staff, parents and broader community to enjoy and value the arts.
In 2004, Karen was awarded a M.S. Degree in Art Education.
During these years, she also developed her own studio practice,
with work now on display in galleries and shops.
Karen continues to teach and practice various art forms.
Her mind is filled with images and techniques to explore, her studio is filled with projects. Discipline and focus are revealed through time, and in her finished artwork.
